When Lennar set out to develop Cielo Vista, a single-family community in Yorba Linda, CA, they entrusted WHA to bring a fresh perspective to the project while delivering excellence through design, services and execution. The collaboration allowed us to refine and enhance the architectural design to specifically target the Yorba Linda market. With WHA’s expertise, Cielo Vista became more than just another new home development—it became a community that reflects the lifestyle aspirations of its future residents.

The Architecture

Cielo Vista offers a beautifully curated mix of exterior styles that not only fit right into Yorba Linda’s charm but also bring a fresh, modern touch. WHA thoughtfully selected neutral yet stylish color palettes that blend effortlessly with the natural surroundings, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our Color Studio and Designers focused on four distinct styles that bring variety and personality to the community:

• Contemporary – Defined by clean lines and hip roofs, this style features warm wood tones paired with the organic texture and linear profile of limestone, which adds diversity to the streetscape.
• Bungalow – Drawing on classic Craftsman influences, this style incorporates a timeless aesthetic with contemporary color schemes, paired with naturally inspired ledgestone to deliver a sophisticated modern presence.
• Farmhouse – A modern take on farmhouse aesthetics, featuring white chalk-dusted brick and wood-stained posts for a custom, elevated feel.
• Modern – A bold, monochromatic look with dark hues and striking stone accents, focusing on material continuity throughout the elevation.

The Design

The neighborhood features 74 single-family homes across five floor plans, ranging from 3,093 to 5,458 square feet, each thoughtfully designed with livability and luxury in mind. The homes feature spacious layouts, high ceilings, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions.

Plans 1 and 2 are single-story designs that offer open-concept living, extending into the California Room for an enhanced indoor-outdoor experience. These homes include 4 bedrooms, up to 4.5 bathrooms, an optional office, and a luxe owner’s suite tucked away at the rear for privacy.

Plans 3 and 4 are expansive two-story homes that offer 5 bedrooms, up to 5.5 bathrooms, bonus rooms, flexible spaces, and private owner’s suites with spa-inspired bathrooms.

Plan 5, also a two-story design, features Lennar’s signature Next Gen® suite, ideal for multi-generational living with a private entrance. The flexible layout throughout the home ensures convenience and adaptability as lifestyles evolve over time.

The Lifestyle

Beyond the home design, Cielo Vista offers a gated, family-friendly environment with access to ample outdoor recreation. Nestled within a scenic hillside, the community boasts breathtaking views of Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills. The site’s natural grading allowed WHA to enhance the rear elevations of many homes, incorporating materiality and plane breaks for a striking aesthetic.
