A Night of Celebration: The 2024 SoCal MAME Awards

We are excited to share that WHA’s award-winning designs received top honors at the 2024 SoCal MAME Awards! A huge thank you to the Building Industry Association of Southern California and the Greater Sales & Marketing Council for hosting another wonderful event, allowing us to celebrate these achievements alongside our industry peers.

Heading into the well-anticipated award show, WHA had six finalists: Novato at Del Sol by Shea Homes, Heatherly – Plan 3 by Tri Pointe Homes, Fresco at Del Sol – Plan 7 by Shea Homes, Sage Court by Tri Pointe Homes, and Bloom at Rienda by Shea Homes. Novato was honored with two awards: Best Architectural Design of a Detached Home 2,000 – 3,000 SF for Plan 5 and recognition in the Architectural Series for the overall community!

Located in Ventura, this community features 144 alley-loaded detached homes with six unique floorplans, ranging from 2,043 to 2,855 square feet. With a variety of architectural styles—Gill, Coastal, Spanish, Monterey, and Craftsman—these homes are designed to blend contemporary aesthetics with traditional charm.

Half of the floorplans offer flex spaces—think office, loft, or study—giving homeowners the versatility they need. Homes include courtyards and open-concept great rooms that create a seamless flow for modern living and entertaining.

Plan 5 stands out with its 2,802 square foot alley-loaded design featuring 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and Progressive Coastal architecture. With its guest-friendly bedroom and bath on the lower level, plus an open-concept great room that seamlessly connects to a courtyard for easy indoor-outdoor living, topped off with a 3-car attached garage, this home is designed with today’s modern buyer in mind.
