Our Award-Winning Projects in the Bay

The Building Industry Association of the Bay Area hosted their 47th MAME Awards on May 3, 2024. Hosted in Pleasanton at Ruby Hill Winery, our team always looks forward to this time of the year where they can connect with clients and peers to celebrate the recognized projects and talk industry trends.

A key observation was that home prices are still on the rise (no surprise here) and moving out of the San Joaquin County (even in age-qualified communities and the River Islands master plan). It is also evident that single family home buyers are continuously attracted to modern interpretations of traditional elevations. Overall, the celebratory night brought about some vital information for all in attendance to keep in mind when designing communities for the current market.

We are thrilled to share that five WHA projects merited and 3 emerged as winners! Let’s dive into our award-winning projects:

Diamond Canyon – Dresden by Toll Brothers | Best Architectural Design Detached 3,000+ SF

This estate-sized single-family home is fit for move-up buyers, growing families, and multigenerational households. The plan derives its strong curb appeal with particular attention to symmetry, axials, and the proportions of exterior massing of materials. All is incorporated into a contemporary interpretation of an American farmhouse with particular attention to metal and stone detailing. The design features of the residence encapsulate upscale two-story living that can adapt to a variety of lifestyles and needs.

The Elms – Plan 3 by Pulte Homes | Best Architectural Design Attached Under 2,000 SF

In collaboration with DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors, WHA provided construction documents to bring this townhome community to Saratoga. This three-story home is equipped with open-concept living, an indoor-outdoor mezzanine level on the top floor, and a primary suite downstairs.

Kerry Ranch by Morgan Properties | Best Architectural Series (Collection of Plans)

This neighborhood of Modern Agrarian single-family homes ideal for young, growing families looking for flexible, modern living. Conveniently situated near Sonoma County’s amenities, these residences offer essential housing post-wildfires. Choose from five plans, featuring 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3.5 bathrooms, and 1,404 to 1,955 square feet. Plans 2 and 4 even include ADUs over the garages, adaptable as in-law suites, guest rooms, or secondary income opportunities!

Additional WHA projects that merited are Limestone Estate by Haven Development and Penny Lane – Plan 2 by Trumark Homes. These accolades serve as a testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented team, clients, and consultants. Congratulations to all honored!
