Entering the 2022 Award Season as BIABA MAME Finalists
We are weeks away from the Building Industry Association (BIA) Bay Area 45th MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) Awards! The ceremony is to take place on April 22 at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero in San Francisco. Our team has been excitedly anticipating the 2022 award season, and now that it is upon us, we are excited to share that four projects are finalists in the MAME Awards:
Best Architectural Design Detached Home – 2,401 to 3,000 SF: Shimmer at One Lake – Plan 1 by Tri Pointe Homes
Located in Fairfield, Shimmer consists of 60 conventionally plotted, two-story homes featuring contemporary, open plans. Each home offers three-floor plans ranging in size from 2,600 – 3,000 square feet with 2-car garages, standard lofts and/or dens, and optional covered outdoor rooms adjacent to an expansive great room with sliding doors for enhanced entertainment opportunities. Volume ceilings upon entry create a dramatic entrance that opens to an L-shaped kitchen, large laundry rooms with extra storage, five bedrooms, live-in suites, and enhanced master baths provide maximum flexibility to a broad range of buyers, particularly the growing family.
Best Architectural Design Detached Home – Over 3,000 SF: Splash at One Lake – Plan 3 by Tri Pointe Homes
A neighborhood of single-family court homes in the One Lake master-planned community, Splash provides a separated living suite that includes a kitchenette, bath, and walk-in closet on the first level to attract buyers interested in a rental opportunity or multi-generational living. An expansive great room opens to the kitchen equipped with a large island, and the primary suite is generously sized to also include a walk-in closet.
Best Architectural Series (Collection of Plans): Montalvo Oaks by SummerHill Homes and Splash at One Lake by Tri Pointe Homes
In the small town of Monte Sereno, off Saratoga Los Gatos Road, lies a pocket neighborhood of charming homes where a motel and local bar once lived. Unique exterior elevations feature classic Monterey styles that tie into the overall lifestyle of the surrounding city for the 21 single family homes, 7 townhomes and 8 duets. The floorplans range in size from 1,730 – 3,700 square feet of flexible and open space, and overall, exceed expectations for luxurious living and quality design.
Splash is a pleasant neighborhood of 72 single-family court homes ranging in size from 2,350 – 2,800 square feet. Though these 2-story homes utilize a shared ‘motor court’ for vehicular access, innovative site plotting and privatized front entries with generous porches give an upscale feel to the arrival point at each residence. With full garage aprons for each home along with the back (2) units of each court facing onto the main arterial road of the master plan community; four-sided architecture was key to the success of the homes in this configuration. The exteriors of the homes include a generous mix of stone, brick and siding detailing, along with a thoughtfully crafted color palette, that all help bring the architectural styles to life.
Our team also contributed two products to the Bay 37 community, Lookout and Breeze, in Alameda, CA. Bay 37 by Pulte Homes was named a finalist in multiple categories:
- Community of the Year Attached
- Community of the Year Hybrid
- Best Architectural Series (Collection of Plans)
It is an honor to be amongst the finalists for such prestigious awards. Congratulations to all finalists; We look forward to hearing the results on April 22!
