Entertaining Home

With Thanksgiving approaching, people are gearing up their houses to welcome family and friends for a gathering. I hosted a Friendsgiving on Saturday and had to strategically place three folding tables together in my small kitchen in order to accommodate everyone. Over the last several years we’ve seen a huge shift in the way we are designing homes. Designers are straying away from traditional floor plans and creating homes that are optimal for entertainment. Wide open floor plans, expansive indoor/outdoor spaces, large windows, and sliding doors provide dramatic entertaining spaces that are becoming the new norm. The bigger the wow factor, the better. Whether we’re celebrating a holiday or just getting together with friends, our homes’ designs play a critical role in the way we host these events.
