Top 5 Places to Eat Ice Cream in Orange County
It’s no doubt that WHA employees love ice cream! It’s the perfect way to celebrate promotions, award winning projects and staff accolades.
In honor of National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 17th, the marketing department compiled a list of our favorite ice cream shops in Orange County.
1) Afters Ice Cream – “If you love donuts like I do, Afters Ice Cream is the place for you, because they combine two of the greatest things, ice cream and donuts. When you go there make sure to order the milky bun,” says Lindsay. Located in Costa Mesa, CA, Afters offers many handcrafted ice cream flavors.
2) Balboa Bars – Shannon loves Balboa Bars and her favorite place to get one is at Sugar N’ Spice on Balboa Island. “You cannot go wrong! With a wide variety of toppings and a choice between chocolate or vanilla ice cream- each bar is delicious and different.”
3) Creamistry – Allie is a huge fan of made-to-order liquid nitrogen ice cream that Creamistry has to offer. There are four locations in Orange County and they pride themselves in using natural and organic ingredients. Allie says, “My son loves going to Creamistry and watching the ice cream being made. It’s definitely a fun and different twist on traditional ice cream!”
4) Sprinkle’s Ice Cream – Mana’s favorite thing to do after spending a summer day at the beach is to take a scoop out of the new Sprinkles Ice Cream located in Newport Beach, CA. “This place is an irresistible grand finale of all ice creams with a variety of delicious flavors. The salted caramel with a red velvet cone is a piece of heaven!”
5) Farrell’s Ice Cream – This old-fashioned ice cream parlor is located in Brea, CA and has a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. “I recommend trying their ice cream nachos, with waffle chips and 3 scoops of ice cream! Yum!!!” says Jacqueline.
