Frank Gehry at LACMA | Sept 13, 2015 – March 20, 2016

Love him or hate him, there is no doubt that Frank Gehry is an inspiration to the world of architecture. Gehry is known for his post-modern, “Deconstructivist” designs using unconventional building materials over a broad spectrum of building types. From single-family homes to museums and concert halls, no matter the space, Gehry continues to stir the conversation with his sculptures of architecture.

There is still time to get over to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and check out Frank Gehry’s plethora of models and sketches. You will see firsthand, projects from his earliest house renovation in Santa Monica:

Admission is $25.00 for the exhibit, but well worth the money. You will see both final and progress models of some of Gehry’s most famous buildings and see how the designs progressed from a preliminary napkin sketch to an amazing piece of architecture. It is no surprise that Frank Gehry began his career in Los Angeles, Californiathe city where we all go to realize our dreams and dare to be different.
